Fundraising is an ongoing challenge!

DI has to raise significant funds each year to provide the vital services it offers its clients and to develop its work, facilities and equipment which would not be possible without voluntary income.

Our resource centre which specialises in education, pre-vocational training, social rehabilitation, skills development, mobility and signposting, performs vital work and achieves remarkable results – but at a cost.  As we do not receive government support for capital development, equipment or creation of new services or programmes, fundraising is critical for the continuation and evolution of DI’s work.

Indeed, Surrey based businessman Andrew Reynolds, founder of The Entrepreneur Channel, realised just how critical fundraising was to DI.   Andrew read about our appeal for equipment in the local paper and not only did he fund the purchase of two MotoMed machines but he also made a substantial contribution that enhanced our services.  As a result we are able to offer new activities and therapies that really make a difference to people’s lives.
