DI offers an extensive range of recreational activities that are available to everyone. 

Hobby, craft, sport or skill.  Indoor or outdoor.  Vocational or just for fun!

Your choice, your goals, your programme.

A variety of activities are included on a client’s ICP, dependent on interest.  However, whilst all our activities have a beneficial and therapeutic factor they all include social interaction.

In addition to the activities built into a client’s ICP, DI organises a variety of outings from the London Eye to the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth; from the theatre to the country market, to name but a few.   Always popular, outings are fully escorted by staff and volunteers to meet the required ratio required for the trip.

Fun activities and outings contribute to the broad spectrum of programmes and they underpin the very ethos of DI’s unique approach in improving and maintaining physical, cognitive, emotional wellbeing as well as social functioning which all lead to an overall enhanced quality of life.
