Arts & Craft Group Hoping To Wipe The Floor Again!
Former client and now volunteer, Linda Gumbrecht is hoping that individuals of DI’s Arts & Craft Group will wipe the floor again at the Camberley & Lightwater Horticultural Summer Show 2009.
Last year, DI’s clients submitted 52 entries and were awarded twelve 1st prizes and seven 2nd prizes as well as many entries being highly commended. This led to the most points being awarded which in turn won the Arts & Crafts Group a magnificent cup.
Linda was also presented with the individual’s cup for having the highest number of points.
Linda leads the Arts & Craft Group each week at DI where many clients are now in the middle of creating their entries .
Entries include a wide range of needlework such cross stitch, long stitch and embroidery as well as quilting, ceramics, photography, knitting, jewellery, pencil drawing to name but a few.
The Arts & Craft section of the Camberley & Lightwater Horticultural Society’s Summer Show is now so large it has to be held separately to the main show in August each year.
October is the deadline for entries to be finished and DI’s Arts & Craft Group is well ahead of schedule.
