Fundraising
Fundraising is an ongoing challenge! DI has to raise significant funds each year to provide the vital services it offers to clients and to develop its work, facilities and equipment which would not be possible without voluntary income.
Our resource centre provides programmes that specialise in education, prevocational training, social rehabilitation, skills development, functional mobility and much more. We perform vital work which achieves remarkable results. However, this costs money.
We do not receive government support for the specialist activities we provide e.g. yoga, music therapy, capital development, equipment or creation of new services and programmes. Therefore, fundraising is critical for the continuation and evolution of DI’s work to ensure we are able to make a fundamental difference to those most in need.
