Disability Initiative

Independent Living

Independent living means different things to different people. It is about having choice and control over everyday life and overcoming barriers.

Activities at DI are designed to help individuals gain confidence and make their own decisions, take control to make informed choices and build relationships. We have fully adapted kitchens and personal care facilities suitable for both ambulant and wheelchair clients and have a wide range of equipment to make life easier.

We have full access to the local town centre with its large range of bustling shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. Additionally we are close to all transport systems including train and bus networks.
