Learning at Disability Initiative
DI promotes a positive environment that encourages individuals to learn and work towards achieving their full potential and build greater self-esteem and resilience. Each client has an allocated keyworker who will work with them to produce an individually tailored, person centred set of learning goals. All clients have access to an iPad or a computer and can be supported to learn and develop their IT skills as required.
Sessions include learning online and computing skills and how to safely use social media platforms. Individual programmes are developed to improve literacy and numeracy or support with communication, cognitive and practical life skills.
