Bill Biddell VLL, President

Bill Biddell is the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey. Bill is the Chief Executive of The Hampton Estate. He trained as a Chartered Surveyor qualifying in 1985 and practiced in central London and West Sussex. Along with being DI’s President, he has been involved in numerous voluntary organisations in Surrey as President, Trustee, Chairman or Board member, including Surrey Clubs for Young People, The Whiteley Homes Trust and The Surrey County Agricultural Society.

Bill joined DI in 2002.

Terry Berridge FCMA, Vice President

Terry joined DI in 1991 as a volunteer to improve accounting and administrative systems. He served as Company Secretary and Treasurer and became a Trustee in 1996. Previously, he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of various subsidiaries of a major US/Worldwide pharmaceutical and consumer products corporation.

Terry joined DI in 1996.

Shahid Azeem, DI Ambassador

We are delighted to welcome DI’s Ambassador, Shahid Azeem.

Shahid brings to DI a wealth of business acumen, having set up successful multi-million pound companies within the IT Industry. Moreover, with that, Shahid brings his personal values and experiences from working across cultural and ethnic boundaries, all of which contributed greatly to his inclusion in The Top 100 Most Influential Muslims in the UK, and in The Independent’s Top 100 Happy List of people who make life better for others in the UK.

Shahid was the High Sheriff of Surrey from 2020-2021, and he is Vice President, Community Foundation of Surrey, and Trustee of Gordons School, West End. He is also Chairman of Aldershot Town Football Club, where he uses the power of sport to integrate communities and further his passion for youth development and diversity and inclusion.

Shahid became a DI Ambassador since 2021.
